Even though Mother Nature had different plans on June 15th, Pride Night 2023 was a massive success!
Vendors and community organization representatives sat for hours in the wet and cold to sell their crafts and get the word out about their groups.
Luckily there was enough of a break in the rain to allow the Fenton Village Players an opportunity to perform a couple songs from their upcoming production of Rent.
The weather also held off with just enough time for the Fenton Pride Collective to present their first-ever Community Ally Award to this years recipient: The Laundry.
The rain also held off long enough for the Pride Walk!
The Fenton Pride Collective is overwhelmed with the support from the community and thanks everyone that braved the rain to come out! The entire reason we formed the Fenton Pride Collective was so that we could host events like these to advocate for the LGBTQ+ community in the area and show them that they are safe here. This year, we feel we accomplished that mission and so much more.
The Fenton Pride Collective would like to thank everyone that attended Pride Night, the vendors and community organizations that came and set up booths, the downtown businesses for participating, our volunteers for everything they did from setting up to greeting, the Fenton Police for keeping the Night safe, and our sponsors for their contributions. Without the continued support from all these people, Pride Night wouldn’t happen.
We are very proud of our community and are excited to see what’s in store for next year – hopefully it’s a little less rain!
